“It’s the photographer not the camera”.
It’s so easy to obsess over gear; to spend more and more money in the quest for some jaw-dropping image quality that will somehow make our photographs better.
Joanna Lemanska makes it abundantly clear that if you’re a good photographer the gear is irrelevant. She shoots with just an iPhone, a Fuji X10 or a cheap Nikon compact yet her photos are stunning. What an eye she has!
You can quibble about not being able to make large prints or lack of resolution or lack of dynamic range but none of it really matters very much when faced with a portfolio of such quality.
Sadly it probably won’t stop me buying an expensive new camera soon.
