mono flower

I became so frustrated by the recent lack of photographic opportunites that I decided to go into the garden to see if I could create some interesting monochrome flower pictures. I took a whole bunch of shots, suitably armed with a Voigtlander 40mm f1.4 mounted on a Hawk Peng helicoid adaptor, which allows you to get much closer than the normal 70cm focus distance. Most of the resulting photos were too busy in the background to work but this one is rather nice.
